Nederland Police blotter & arrests for July 8–21

Nederland police responded to the following calls from July 8-14:

July 8

  • Assault-family violence was reported in the 1800 block of Helena.
  • Theft was reported in the 200 block of North Memorial Boulevard.
  • A person was arrested for driving while license suspended in the 2500 block of Avenue H.
  • Unauthorized use of a motor vehicle was reported in the 2000 block of Avenue L.
  • Unauthorized use of a motor vehicle was reported in the 100 block of North Memorial Boulevard.

July 9

  • An information report was made in the 2500 block of Avenue F.
  • A person was found to be in possession of a controlled substance in the 3000 block of Nederland Avenue.
  • A person was arrested on another agency’s warrant in the 1900 block of Peterson.
  • Assault offensive touch-family violence was reported in the 500 block of North 12th Street.
  • Theft was reported in the 800 block of Memorial Boulevard.
  • Assault-family violence was reported in the 300 block of Nederland Avenue.

July 10

  • Theft was reported in the 2300 block of Avenue H.
  • An information report was made in the 1500 block of North U.S. 69.
  • Criminal mischief and terroristic threat of family – family violence was reported in the 300 block of Nederland Avenue.
  • A person was arrested on another agency’s warrant in the 900 block of South 27th Street.

July 11

  • Criminal mischief was reported in the 200 block of North Memorial Boulevard.
  • A runaway was reported in the 200 block of North 22nd Street. The runaway was later recovered.

July 12

  • A person was arrested on another agency’s warrants in the 2300 block of Avenue H. The person was also found to be in possession of marijuana. Lab results pending.
  • A person was taken into custody on a mental commitment in the 600 block of North 22nd Street.
  • Credit card or debit card abuse was reported in the 800 block of Nederland Avenue.

July 13

  • Theft of a firearm was reported in the 200 block of Hardy.
  • Theft was reported in the 3500 block of Nederland Avenue.
  • A person was arrested on Nederland warrants in the 1000 block of Helena.
  • A person was arrested on Nederland warrants in the 800 block of Helena.
  • A person was arrested on another agency’s warrant in the 300 block of Nederland Avenue.

July 14

  • Assault causes severe bodily injury was reported in the 1000 block of Nederland Avenue.
  • Theft of a firearm was reported in the 1500 block of North 27th Street.

July 15

  • Burglary of a vehicle was reported in the 800 block of South Fourth Street.
  • A person was found to be in possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana in the 2300 block of Avenue H.

July 16

  • Criminal mischief was reported in the 2400 block of Avenue H.
  • Assault-family violence was reported in the 1100 block of Luling.
  • A person was arrested for Nederland warrants in the 900 block of South 14th Street. The person was also in possession of marijuana and unlawfully carrying a weapon. Charges pending.
  • A person was arrested on Nederland warrants and another agency’s warrants in the 1000 block of Avenue B.

July 17

  • A person was arrested on another agency’s warrant in the 800 block of North Twin City Highway.
  • Assault-family violence was reported in the 1700 block of Franklin.
  • Theft was reported in the 1700 block of Detroit.
  • Sexual assault was reported in the 1000 block of Avenue B.
  • Assault offensive touch-family violence was reported in the 1400 block of North 12th Street.
  • A person was taken into custody on a mental commitment in the 3200 block of Avenue A.
  • A person was arrested on another agency’s warrant in the 4800 block of FM 695.
  • A person was arrested on another agency’s warrant in the 1000 block of Avenue B.

July 18

  • Burglary of a habitation was reported in the 100 block of South Second Street.
  • Assault-family violence and criminal mischief was reported in the 100 block of South 12th Street.
  • Burglary of a vehicle was reported in the 800 block of Chicago.
  • A person was arrested on Nederland warrants and abandoning endangering child in the 1400 block of Boston.
  • A person was arrested on another agency’s warrant in the 1400 block of Boston.
  • Two people were arrested on another agency’s warrants in the 3600 block of FM 365.

July 19

  • Disorderly conduct discharge/display firearm was reported in the 2900 block of Helena.
  • Theft of a firearm was reported in the 800 block of North 14th Street.
  • Assault by threat was reported in the 100 block of North Twin City Highway.
  • A person was arrested on another agency’s warrant in the 2100 block of Nederland Avenue.
  • A person was arrested on another agency’s warrant in the 3000 block of Lawrence. The person was found to be in possession of a controlled substance. Lab results pending.

July 20

  • Theft was reported in the 1300 block of Avenue L.
  • Missing persons was reported in the 100 block of Chicago.
  • A person was found to be in possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana in the 3500 block of FM 365. Lab results pending.
  • Assault causes bodily injury-family violence was reported in the 3200 block of Pine Lane.
  • Assault offensive touch-family violence was reported in the 2100 block of U.S. 69.
  • A person was arrested on another agency’s warrant in the 3000 block of FM 365.

July 21

  • Criminal mischief was reported in the 1000 block of Avenue B.
  • A missing person was reported in the 100 block of Atlanta.
