Ford Park opens as shelter for explosion evacuees

BEAUMONT — Ford Park in Beaumont opened at 6 p.m. Wednesday as a shelter for people in the mandatory evacuation zone after the TPC Group explosion in Port Neches, according to the American Red Cross Texas Gulf Coast group.
A previous shelter located at First Baptist Church in Nederland is closing as it is in the evacuation zone.
Ford Park is located at 5115 Interstate 10 Access Road, Beaumont.
