Port Arthur man killed in Saturday night traffic crash, police say

GRIMES COUNTY — A local man was killed Saturday night following a traffic wreck in Grimes County, authorities said.

DPS troopers said Warren Samuel, 24, of Port Arthur was traveling eastbound on Highway 2 in a 2016 Ford Fusion when the vehicle ran a stop sign at the intersection of Highway 6.

The vehicle is believed to have collided with a 2006 Mercedes Benz driven southbound on Highway 6 by Omar Kashu, 24, of Richardson.

Authorities said Samuel died on the scene as the results of injuries suffered in the collision.
