KATHIE’S KORNER — What can I say about my Jesus?

I have titled and started so many of my writings and columns about my children, husband and friends by saying, “What can I say about them?” Well, I’m starting this love chapter about Jesus and, I’m saying, once again, “What can I say about my Jesus?”
He is also called Jesus Christ, Jesus of Nazareth and Jesus of Galilee, Son of God, Cornerstone, (my personal favorite) Prince of Peace, Lord and Savior. You can tell by my words that He is not invisible or unavailable to me, always my friend, the Word made flesh, the Living Christ!
I haven’t seen Him personally as a man, but He is in my heart and spiritually guides me in so many ways! I pray with Him and talk with Him a lot.
I also think about Him all the time and say His Name, the Name above all names over and over if I have trouble going to sleep. I speak it out on critical situations that I see on the highway or home, and in prayer. God says He gave Him the Name above all names!
If you think about that, you can pray His Name over disease, pain or different kinds of conflict. I have felt and seen the powerful results, some immediate, some working and gradually changed.
It is important to say a prayer and ask Him to be your Lord and Savior. It’s simple and eternal, just do it and God will also fill your heart with the love and power to have a peaceful, successful life. He will then be your Healer, Forgiver and you will never be alone or hopeless, walking in authority in any area of your life.
As you begin to study His Word, start in a gospel (Matthew, Mark, Luke or John) in the New Testament, and you will see how God teaches us to live and conduct ourselves with so many promises. I personally like Luke, he was a physician, analytical and organized. Also, reading a Proverb-a-day like a calendar (there are 31), it will round out your reading program and enrich your life, believe me!
Your study in the scriptures will be a lifetime journey of joy with maybe some correction or change of direction along the way, but trust your new, Heavenly Father and Son.
Be encouraged, take your time and “Follow God!”
