Few details are being released by police after a man was shot while sitting in his vehicle under the Taylor Bayou Bridge over the weekend.
Port Arthur Police Det. Mike Hebert said authorities are conducting a fluid investigation, and detectives are still following leads.
A male victim told police he was sitting in his vehicle at 3 a.m. Sunday under the bridge at 3300 W. Texas 73 when another vehicle drove toward him and a person began shooting in his direction.
One of the bullets struck the victim in the foot before the gunman’s vehicle fled the scene.
The victim was brought to a local hospital, where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Police declined to release information regarding a motive for the shooting, the type of vehicle the shooter was driving, the number of suspects sought or suspect description.
Hebert did say no arrests had been made.
PAPD’s Criminal Investigations Division is assisting in the investigation.
