NEDERLAND — The Nederland Independent School District announced the dates of May 29, May 30 and June 1 are being looked at as possible graduation dates.

In accordance with the newest Texas Education Agency guidelines, district officials are working to secure an outdoor location to host the commencement and communicating with local venues to accommodate the largest number of people that are permitted with local and state restrictions.

Detailed graduation information will be posted next week, officials said Friday.

On Tuesday, The Texas Education Agency announced four pathways for schools to celebrate their graduating seniors, including complete virtual ceremonies, hybrid ceremonies, vehicle ceremonies and outdoor in-person ceremonies.
