First Church of God, 3800 Jimmy Johnson Blvd., will host Sunday morning Praise/Worship at 10:30 a.m. Masks and gloves are provided. Safety guidelines and social distancing are in place. Sunday’s sermon is “Reach out to Jesus,” taken from Mark 6:53-56.

Solid Rock Baptist Church, 1337 E. Fifth St., will present a conference “Lift Up Christ in a Crisis” at 4 p.m. Sunday. The guest speaker will be the Rev. Byron Jones of The Rock Christian Center in Houston.

The theme scripture is taken from I Chronicles 7:13-14, Isaiah 53:5 and John 12:31-32.

Solid Rock Baptist Church is practicing the new social distance recommendations given by Gov. Greg Abbott in his minimum standard health protocols checklist for churches and places of worship.
