Felix Antonia Sanchez Sr., 68, of Port Arthur passed away on Tuesday, July 28, 2020 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.

Felix was born on November 20, 1951 in Nicaragua to parents Alfonzo and Maria A. Lazo Sanchez.

He had lived in California for 25 years, 1983-1998; then he moved to Texas in 1998 to be close to his parents.

He was a handyman; welder helper and working for himself.

He enjoyed fishing, listening to classical music, and buying, fixing and reselling items.

Felix loved spending time with family and enjoying a good meal with them.

He will be dearly missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Alfonzo and Maria Sanchez.

Felix is survived by his wife, Odilia Sanchez of Port Arthur, sons, Felix A. Sanchez of Port Arthur, Leslie Sanchez, his daughter, Elizabeth Sanchez and her husband, Orlando Guerra, Yvonne Avila and her husband, Heri Avila all of Port Arthur, his grandchildren, Yamil Avila, Angel Avila and Ailyn Avila.

His is also survived by his brother, Hugo Sanchez of Port Arthur, his sisters, Argentina Chamarro of New York, Mayra Moak and Gioconda Blanco both of Port Arthur, and nine brothers and sisters in Nicaragua.

A Memorial Service will be held at later date, cremation arrangements were entrusted to Clayton Thompson Funeral Home.
