The Texas Department of Transportation announced road closures planned this week in Port Arthur.

According to TxDOT, motorists can expect alternating lane closures Wednesday, Thursday and Friday along SH 87 at the Intercoastal Canal.

The closures are due to bridge work and are expected from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

TxDOT also announced motorists should expect one-way traffic operated by a flagger Wednesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., along SH 82 from South Levy Road to the causeway.
