Local professional honored as Nurse Practitioner of the Year

NEDERLAND — Riceland Healthcare recently announced Nurse Practitioner and Endocrinology Specialist Jennifer East was honored with the Nurse Practitioner of the Year Award.
East was recognized by Southeast Texas Nurse Practitioners for her empathetic and compassionate care and her contribution to the improvement of care for individuals, families and the community.
“She has demonstrated excellence as an Nurse Practitioner and as a role model for other nurse practitioners,” a release from Riceland Healthcare stated.
In June, Riceland Healthcare announced East’s arrival at the Endocrinology Center on Highway 365 in the Mid Jeff Professional Building in Nederland.
East previously served the area for 15 years at Triangle Endocrinology.
