VIDOR — Vidor Police are investigating the death of a man who was killed when he was struck by a train on Monday.

Vidor Police Chief Rod Carroll said authorities received a call at approximately 1:19 p.m. Monday about an incident near East Railroad parallel to Ethel Lane.

Carroll said responding officers found a person deceased. The area is currently shut down as of 2:30 p.m. Monday.

Police believe the man died from a collision with the train.
