In loving memory of Cliffic Andrew Guidry Sr., born on March 11, 1937, in Abbeville, Louisiana, and raised in Port Arthur, Texas.
He peacefully departed from this world on Thursday, December 28, 2023, in Houston, TX, at 86.
As a distinguished Manufacturing Engineer, he contributed significantly to the Hughes Tool in Houston and later assumed the role of President at Gulf Cooper in Port Arthur.
His journey included graduating from Lincoln High School in Port Arthur, earning a Bachelor’s degree from Prairie View A&M University, and serving honorably in the U.S. Army.
Notably, he shared his expertise as a Texas Southern University professor specializing in computer science and manufacturing.
Cliffic Andrew Guidry Sr. is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn Edwards Guidry, and his cherished children: Harold Taylor Jr., Monique Ledet Guidry, Erika Guidry, Cliffic Guidry Jr., Nicole Guidry, and Derek Edwards.
He leaves behind a rich legacy cherished by family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ethelyn Beal Guidry, and daughter Ursula Crommie Guidry.
A heartfelt visitation will occur on Saturday, January 20, 2024, from 10 to 10:55 a.m., followed by a celebration of his extraordinary life at 11 a.m.
Both services will be held at St. Mary of the Purification Catholic Church at 3006 Rosedale, Houston, Texas.
