A Mississippi man who reportedly broke a pool stick over another man’s head at a bar was indicted this week by a Jefferson County grand jury for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Witnesses and video surveillance at Red’s Icehouse, 7665 College Street in Beaumont, reportedly show Dylan Johnson, 25, of Summit, Mississippi, attacking another man for no reason, according to an affidavit for arrest warrant.
The altercation reportedly occurred at approximately 10:15 p.m. Feb. 8.
The manager of the bar showed responding officers video of Johnson walking over to the other man, grabbing a pool stick in both hands and hitting him over the head so hard that the pool stick broke.
Johnson then struck the man several more times on the top of the head with both fists.
Witnesses reportedly told police Johnson walked over to another man and attacked him without saying a word.
Johnson was arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and his bond was set at $20,000 by a judge.
He bonded out the next day, according to information from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
