Wildred “Kippy” Lavine, born December 20, 1943 in Washington, LA to Jules and Rita Lafleur Lavine, passed away peacefully with his children by his side Sunday, March 3, 2024 after a brief stay at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont, Texas.
His is preceded in death by his parents; three sisters and five brothers.
Left to cherish his memories are his children, Angella Lavine (Dustin), Port Arthur, TX, Kip Lavine (Adriana), Round Rock, TX, Gary Clayton (Sharolet), Houston, TX and Arno Nezy, Dallas, TX; 12 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Special thanks to Bryan Lavine, his oldest grandson, who devoted over two years to his grandfather as a full-time caregiver.
Thanks to the following caregivers for their excellent care: LaQuita Robinson, Jackie DeJohn, Barbara Rhodes and Ashley.
Thanks to his lifelong friend/brother, Earl Minard, Sr., who was constantly by his side.
His laughter and friendships will always be remembered.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, March 23, 2024 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 920 Booker Washington, Port Arthur, TX with visitation from 8 a.m. until service time.
Entombment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
