The continued reconstruction of the US 69 / SH 73 cloverleaf is leading to a major closure next week for Port Arthur motorists.

According to the Texas Department of Transportation, on May 10, the southwest loop of the US 69 / SH 73 cloverleaf is closing indefinitely.

Traffic officials are planning a detour route.

Southbound U.S. 69 traffic will exit for Westbound SH 73. There will be advance-warning signs. Continue west on SH 73 to Savannah Avenue exit. Make U-turn at Savannah Avenue and enter SH 73 Eastbound main lanes. Continue SH 73 Eastbound through the interchange.
