Flash Flood Watch impacting Jefferson County issued for Thursday; see the details

Thunderstorms could again be a concern for Jefferson County residents and those throughout Southeast Texas.

Multiple hazards are expected Thursday in Southeast Texas.

According to the National Weather Service in Lake Charles, La., another thunderstorm complex is expected to bring an increased risk for heavy rainfall and possible flooding late Wednesday night into Thursday.

A Flash Flood Watch has been issued for portions of the area from 1 a.m. through 7 p.m. Thursday for areas along and north of Interstate 10.

Also, there is an increased risk for severe weather over Southeast Texas early Thursday morning, with damaging winds the greatest severe weather threat.
