Dorothy Harris Myers, born on May 21, 1939, in Teague, TX, long time resident of Port Arthur, TX, peacefully passed away on April 10, 2024, at the age of 83 in Groves, TX.

She is survived by her daughter Laurie Mayfield and husband Jeffery Mayfield, granddaughter Ashtyn McKay and husband Brian McKay, grandson Taylor Whalen, grandson Justin Mayfield and wife Ashley Mayfield, as well as numerous great-grandchildren.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Russel Kenneth Myers and her parents Jack and Dorothy Kate Harris.

Dororthy worked for the Port Arthur Police Station for 26 years.

A ceremony to honor and remember Dorothy’s life will be held on May 11, 2024, at 3pm at 3425 Platt Ave., Port Arthur, TX .
