The Port Neches-Groves High Indians ended their baseball season with a 24-14 record.
The strong regular and postseason run came to an end overnight Friday with a defeat to Friendswood High School at the Barbers Hill baseball stadium in Mont Belvieu.
“I really enjoyed these seniors. I’m going to miss these seniors. I’m looking forward to the upperclassmen, underclassmen, growing and getting better,” coach Scott Carter said. “PNG baseball is not done. This season’s done, but we’ll be back next year and see what happens.”
