ORANGE — A verbal altercation turned physical leading to the stabbing of a man and the arrest of a woman earlier this week.
The Orange Police Department was dispatched at approximately 10:50 a.m. Thursday to a disturbance in the 500 block of Camelia Avenue.
While on scene officers learned there had been a verbal altercation between a man and a female who had children together, Captain Jonathan Baggett said.
The issue turned physical, and police said the female allegedly stabbed the male.
The female was arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon-family violence. She is identified as Adore Dorsey, 32.
The unnamed man suffered a non-life threatening stab wound to his upper body, near the shoulder and chest area.
He was brought to Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont by Acadian Ambulance and was later medically cleared, Baggett said.
