Layne’s Chicken Fingers coming to Nederland

NEDERLAND — Layne’s Chicken Fingers is adding Nederland to the list of locations that dot the state and beyond.
Nederland Building Official George Wheeler recently confirmed the city has had correspondence from representatives of Layne’s concerning permit submittals. The eatery is locating at 3026 FM 365, at the site of the former Mazzio’s.
Mazzio’s closed in early May after almost 40 years in the area.
Port Arthur Newsmedia and representatives of Layne’s have been in contact, but the restaurant owners opted to wait before speaking to media on a timeline and other related topics.
Layne’s is known for chicken fingers. The closet location is in Beaumont,
Founded in 1994 in College Station, the original location became a Texas A&M legend known for its charm, friendly service, chicken fingers and secret sauce, according to its website.
While opening locations across the Dallas-Fort Worth area, the leadership team focused on fine tuning its operations and starting to franchise.
They currently have locations in College Station
Dallas/Fort Worth area, Corsicana, San Marcos, Houston and Beaumont.
There are additional locations in West Virginia
Pennsylvania and Wisconsin with stores in Virginia, Washington D.C. in the works.
