Body discovered in Adams Bayou; police asking for help with identity

PINEHURST — At 10:46 a.m. Saturday, the Pinehurst Police Department received a report of a deceased person located in Adams Bayou.
The body was discovered by fishermen.
Pinehurst officers, with the assistance of Orange County Emergency Services District 3, responded to Adams Bayou, south of the Interstate 10 turnaround.
The body of a black male was recovered.
Justice of the Peace Hershel Stagner ordered an autopsy.
The identity of the male is unknown at this time.
The male has a mustache and other facial hair and has a tattoo on his chest.
At this time, there is no foul play suspected, but this case is an ongoing investigation to find his identity.
