Two dead in overnight Port Arthur shooting

Port Arthur Police are investigating a suspected shooting which led to the deaths of two men in the early hours of July 4.
Police say they responded to a call around 1:30 a.m. Thursday at 3400 6th St. in Port Arthur. Two men were found dead at the residence’s garage apartment when officers arrived.
One body was located at the base of the stairs outside the apartment, with the other inside.
One man has been identified as 22-year-old Alfred Glenn Scott Jr from Port Arthur. The other is 24-year-old Corneileous Jarod Jones, who is from Cypress.
According to local media, the woman who called police said she was hiding in the garage apartment after her front door was kicked in.
Justice of the Peace Brad Burnett told local outlets that both men suffered gunshot wounds to their upper torso and autopsies were ordered.
