A Jefferson County grand jury handed down indictments to a number of individuals this week.

• Vanessa M. Buentello, 39, Beaumont transient, was indicted for assault peace officer/judge for an incident that occurred June 22.

• Randy Lynn Harrod, 58, of Beaumont was indicted for possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, for an incident that occurred Feb. 3.
• Eric Christian Hernandez, 28, of Port Arthur was indicted for unlawful possession of firearm by felon for an incident that occurred June 10.
• Treylyn Roshawn Dwight Hill, 21, of Beaumont was indicted for obstruction or retaliation for an incident that occurred June 2.
• Lucas Andrew Lejune, 32, of Sour Lake was indicted for possession of a controlled substance, tetrahydrocannabinol, for an incident that occurred March 23.
