Benefit set for Nederland teen Coy Farris

A benefit for a Nederland teen Coy Farris is set for Aug. 10 at United Steelworkers USW 13-228.
The benefit will be from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the union hall, 1609 Port Neches Ave., Port Neches.
Farris is a Nederland high School student diagnosed with a brain tumor on May 21. The tumor is inoperable at this time as it is on his brain stem.
He will need to undergo several rounds of chemotherapy and radiation to help shrink the tumor.
Farris is a multi-sport athlete who has played baseball and football.

The benefit will include a silent auction, live auction, barbecue lunches, live music, 50/50 split the pot, T-shirts, wheelbarrow of fun, gun raffle, blood drive, face painting and games for kids.
