Judge Burnett’s courtroom was the venue for the “Mid-County Madness Beat Truancy Workshop,” where community leaders, including Jefferson County District Attorney Keith Giblin, Juvenile Law District Attorney John Nelson, Judge Brad Burnett, and Truancy Clerk Stacey Vidrine, joined forces with Nederland and Port Neches-Groves principals and top administrators to discuss and review truancy laws.
Each school actively participated in open discussion, stories, sharing information and strategies for improving student attendance in the new school year.
