Murder warrant issued for Groves shooting suspect

Groves Police Investigators have identified and issued an arrest warrant for the gunman in an August 10 shooting which left an 18-year-old dead.
A first degree murder warrant has been obtained for Vonzelle Hall, a 19-year-old Port Arthur resident who is allegedly responsible for the shooting death of Jesus Garcia.
According to police, Hall is considered armed and dangerous and the public should not approach him.
Police initially responded to a report of a shooting at the Beverly Place Apartments located at 5307 Gulfway Drive in Groves. When officers arrived on scene around 1:57 a.m., they found one male victim on the ground in the parking lot.
The victim, the 18-year-old Garcia of Port Arthur, was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Justice of the Peace Ben Collins Sr. ordered an autopsy.
