Port Arthur ISD is transitioning towards a cashless online ticketing and transaction system to streamline operations and provide more convenience for families.

The district will use a hybrid cash and online ticketing system until Sep. 30. After this date, all PAISD purchases will be conducted exclusively online.

The district announced the change via press release. At its core, the move to a cashless purchase system represents an effort for the district to modernize their operations and provide a better experience for the community.

This change affects all purchases from PA ISD, including ticketing; concessions; auxiliary budgets; fundraisers; and more.
The district will adopt the HomeTown Ticketing platform for all athletic events. For district fundraisers and other transactions, Square will be the purchase method.

Parents who do not have a means of online payment, such as a debit or credit card, can use money orders for purchases.

A statement from PA ISD Superintendent Mark Porterie reads:

“As we navigate an ever-evolving educational landscape, we are committed to enhancing the efficiency of our operations and ensuring a safe environment for our students, staff, and families.  The Port Arthur Independent School District is transitioning to a cashless system. This transition will not only streamline our operations but also provide greater convenience for our families.

“Parents and guardians will have the ability to make payments online for meals, school events, and other fees, which will reduce the burden of cash handling for both staff and students. We believe this shift will foster greater engagement from our community and encourage timely payments.”
