The National Hurricane Center’s 10 am Monday advisory reported that Tropical Storm Hector is 1080 miles west-southwest of the Southern Tip of Baja California, with maximum sustained wind of 50 mph. It’s moving 10 mph to the west.

The National Hurricane Center released the first advisory for a tropical storm at 4 pm yesterday (Sunday).
