In Loving Memory of Jeffery Joseph Babineaux II.

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Jeffery Joseph Babineaux II, a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, who finished his course at the age of 48. Jeff’s unexpected departure on October 13, 2024, has left a profound void in the hearts of all who knew him.

Born to the late Jeffery Joseph and Barbara Anne Babineaux, Jeffery is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents—Sherman and Helen Jenkins, and Charles and Elzina Babineaux—as well as his uncle and godfather, Dwight Babineaux.

Reared on the west side of Port Arthur, Texas, Jeffery was the third of seven children. He attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church where he was actively involved in various youth ministries.

Jeffery graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in Port Arthur in 1995, where he excelled in both football and basketball. He later earned a degree in Criminal Justice from Wiley College (now Wiley University) in Marshall, Texas, in 2001.

As a resident of Houston, Jeffery was a dedicated member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. He devoted his career to making a difference in his community, known for his unwavering commitment to helping those in the construction industry.

A loyal follower of Allah, Jeffery was known for being a man of faith and his heartfelt prayers and support for those around him. Marrying the love of his life in 2017, he was a devoted husband and supreme “girl dad,” radiating love and kindness to his family. He cherished spending time with family and friends, always sharing laughter and occasionally flashing his perfect smile.

Jeffery was a passionate traveler, embracing every opportunity to explore new places and create lasting memories with loved ones. An unwavering Oakland Raiders fan, his enthusiasm for the game was infectious. He enjoyed collecting sneakers and hats, often wearing his favorites while working out—another passion of his. He believed in maintaining a healthy lifestyle and inspired those around him to do the same.

Jeffery is survived by his loving wife, SaToiya; his three daughters, A’Mari, Sloane, and Joleigh Babineaux; his

siblings, Joseph Heath (LaShon), Nichelle Thibodeaux, Joshua (Tye), Jean (Donald Jr.), Jonathan Sr. (Blair), and Jordan (Everly); his mother-in-law, Barbara A. Meyers; father-in-law, Ivan J. Williams; sister-in-law, LaToiya Williams-Jackson (Christopher, Sr.); aunts Mary Clay and Eva Adams; godmother Jennifer Dearman; godchildren Daylon Bergeron, Sanai Babineaux, Jonathan Zeno Jr., and Lahndon Hinton; along with a multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.

Jeffery will be deeply missed, but forever remembered in our hearts.
