Mable Catherine Andres (“Momo”), (My lil’ girl) was born August 27,1941 in Carencro, Louisiana to the late Antoine Mercier and Hazel Mercier. She was called home to be with the Lord, November 24, 2024. She was a lifelong member of Sacred Heart and St. James Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband Albert M. Andres Jr., father Antoine Mercier, mother Hazel Mercier, two sisters Theresa Chambers, Delores Phillips, and her brother Anthony Mercier, one step-daughter Sheila White, and a granddaughter Tamara Andres.
Those left to cherish her sweet memories are three daughters- Yvette, Ursula, and Felicia, one son Brian Sr., and her grandchildren Dorian (Kapria) of New Orleans, Alicia, Amber, Brian Jr., Tyler Gray of Port Arthur, TX, and her great grandchildren Kavon, Aerys of New Orleans, LA, and Joulez and Delilah of Port Arthur, TX. She is also survived by one brother Michael Mercier of Beaumont, TX. Also to cherish her memories are a special cousin who checked on her on a daily basis, and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Mother’s home going celebration will be 11 a.m. Friday, December 6, 2024 at St. James Catholic Church 3617 Gulfway Drive, Port Arthur, TX with viewing from 9 a.m. until service time. Burial will be at Live Oak Cemetery. Thereafter, the repast will be at the church hall.
