Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an industrial accident that left a local man dead at Sterling Shipyard, 906 Main Ave. in Port Neches on Saturday.

Justice of the Peace Ben Collins. Sr. said the deceased is a 46-year-old male from Port Neches who was killed in a heavy equipment accident.

The name of the deceased has not been released pending notification of next of kin.

An autopsy has been ordered.
