On Sunday at 9:53 p.m. a dense fog advisory was issued by the National Weather Service valid from 10 p.m. until Monday 9 a.m. The advisory is for Northern Calcasieu, Northern Jefferson Davis, Northern Acadia, Northern Jasper, Northern Newton, Southern Jasper and Southern Newton as well as Vernon, Rapides, Avoyelles, Beauregard, Allen, Evangeline, St. Landry, Tyler, Hardin, Jefferson and Orange counties.

The NWS says, “Visibility one quarter mile or less in dense fog.”

“Low visibility could make driving conditions hazardous,” explains the NWS. “If driving, slow down, use your headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.”
