The Nederland Heritage Festival kicked off some early festivities this past weekend with its Fun Run for all ages. The mile-long run took place at Bulldog Stadium and runners were separated by age group and gender.

Runners as young as 5 and as old as 42 participated in the run for some family-friendly competition with runners receiving medals for 1st place for each age group and 1st in time overall. A full list of winners is available on the Nederland Heritage Festival Facebook page.

Male Overall Winners

1. Joseph Gibson, 13, was first with a time of 5:20.4
2. Jonathan Zavala, 9, came second with a time of 5:23.9
3. Devin Harley, 36, came third with a time of 5:37.3

Female Overall Winners 

1. Avery Parigi, 14, was first with a time of 6.25.5
2. Sloane Fairley, 10, came in second with a time of 6.39.5
3. Callee Rae Howell, 12 came third with a time of 7:06.5
