Bob Hope School system announced that its school in Beaumont will remain open until the 2025-2026 school year. The announcement comes after the school was unable to be sold before its internal deadline.

“We have made every effort to have a successful instructional program at BHS and have decided that we will continue those efforts for at least the 2025-26 school year,” stated the school in a press release.

The school is still listed for sale and will continue discussions with any prospective provider and is encouraging parents to re-enroll current students, according to a press release from the school.

Bob Hope CEO Bobby Lopez had previously stated that the low projected TEA rating would prevent them from securing funding for the newly planned campuses in Houston’s suburbs. The system would lose roughly $1 million dollars in grants towards new school if the Beaumont campus is not shut down or the rating improves to meet the required B average.

The campus had hoped to have a buyer to be able to transition to a new academic provider by August of this year and still hopes that is possible.
