Pleasure Island’s North Levee Road is set for temporary closure March 27 for necessary project preparation, according to information from the city of Port Arthur.

The Sabine Neches Navigation District will close the North Levee Road on the morning of March 27 in preparation for Placement Area 11 construction for the U.S. Corps of Engineers Federal Deepening Project of the Sabine Neches Waterway.
The North Levee road will be closed from March 27 until April 4.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department will provide 24/7 security at the entrance of the gate at the beginning of North Levee Road.
