Jefferson County Correctional Facility Corrections Officer Arrested

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office regularly reviews all videos including Body Worn (BWC), Facility and In-car cameras in an effort to monitor and insure that policy and procedures or followed.
While supervisors were reviewing such footage, it was discovered that 33 year old Jefferson County Correctional Facility Sgt. Clayton Friddle was involved in several acts of Official Oppression as a public servant under the color of his employment as a Correctional Officer, that subjected inmates to mistreatment.  Friddle was immediately suspended pending his disciplinary review board hearing.  After the hearing he was terminated.
Official Oppression, under Texas Penal Code 39.03 (D) is a Class A Misdemeanor.  Three cases were filed with the Jefferson County District Attorneys Office and Friddle was indicted by a Grand Jury on all three counts on April 23.
He was arrested yesterday, April 24 by a Deputy with the JCSO Warrant Division and booked into the Jefferson County Correctional Facility.  His bonds were set at $2,000.00 per count.  He has since bonded out.
