Election day in Jefferson County is 3 days away, as early voting has ended and the final opportunity to vote in the May 3 elections. Additional polling locations will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Here is a list of all the candidates for local Jefferson County races:
Port Arthur:
Mayor: Charlotte Moses, Allen “Opie” Valka, Chuck Vincent and Charlie Lewis Jr.
Port of Port Arthur:
Navigation District Commissioner: Simeon L. Queen, Reginald Trainer, Fred Owens, Martin Flood, Greg Richard, Randy Randolph T. Martin, Keith Richard and Raymond C. Johnson
Port Arthur ISD:
Board of Trustees: Jacori Narcisse, Kimberly Wycoff-Johnson, Duante Grogan
Proposition A: $222 million for a new Middle School and other various improvements for the district.
Proposition B: $78 Million for new stadium complex
Nederland:
Mayor: Emmett Hollier and Jeff Darby
Ward 2: Britton Jones and Sylvia Root
Ward 4: David Guillot and Jeff Ortiz
Nederland ISD:
