The Port Neches-Groves High School Unified track and field team made history by capturing its first State Championship at Hendrickson High School in Pflugerville. Competing against 15 other schools, the team emerged victorious, finishing first and bringing home the coveted state gold.

The district expressed overwhelming pride and appreciation for the athletes, coaches, and supporters of the Unified Sports Program. “We truly would not be the GREATEST SCHOOL DISTRICT IN THE UNIVERSE without them,” the district said in a celebratory message.

To honor this achievement, a celebratory parade will be held on Thursday at approximately 9:10 a.m., starting at the tennis courts and ending at the high school football stadium. The entire community is invited to come out and cheer on the team that brought home state gold.
