Betty Omega Jaynes Cox

Betty Omega Jaynes Cox has found eternal peace, and is at home with our Lord. She passed away April 27, 2013 in her sleep at her home in Nederland, TX.
Omega was born in Sidon, MS, March 31, 1929 to Walker Jackson Jaynes and Byrdie May Darby Jaynes. After spending her early years in the Delta of Mississippi she moved to Pascagoula, MS where she married and started her family.
Omega worked for Jackson Life Insurance Co. for ten years and was top sales person throughout her career there. She moved to Bridge City, TX, to begin a job as manager of Lynn’s Sac & Pac till the late 80’s. In 1989 she moved to Nederland, TX, were she worked as a hospice care provider, till she retired in 1996.
Omega was preceded in death by her husbands Marvin Eugene Hall, and Pete W. Cox Jr.; her parents; brother Pat Bullock, two sisters Ruth Price and Margret Kline, and her daughter Oma Jean Hall.
Surviving to cherish her memory are her two brothers Turner Jaynes of Chester, VA, Curtis Jaynes of Mauriceville, TX, two sons (Gregory) Anthony Hall of Nederland, TX and Oma Fredrick Cox and his wife Amy of Brandon, MS, four grandchildren Ashley Cox Harper of Bovina, MS, Matthew Corbin Cox of Vicksburg, MS, Ryan Hunter McHenry and Thomas Jarrett McHenry of Brandon, MS. and two great granddaughters Mary Madisyn Harper and Mckynzie Kay Harper.
The family expresses its appreciation to all those who have lifted Mom in their prayers, and to those who have provided special loving care to her and the family.
A family and close friends gathering will be Tuesday April 30 at 6:30 pm at the home of her brother Curtis Jaynes, 8805 Garden Ln., Mauriceville TX 77632.
