NEDERLAND — Two important dates are coming up and the first one is Tuesday, June 16, when the South East Texas Dulcimer Friends will be performing.  Come early and get a good seat and if you would like to stay for lunch, please call Diane so she can order a lunch for you.

The second date is Wednesday, June 17, when The First Financial Bank will be presenting a Financial Abuse Seminar.  This should really be something we would all be interested in since it can touch all of our lives.  They will also be supplying refreshments.  This also will be at 10 a.m.  Please try to make these two programs.

The Nederland Senior Citizen Center is located at 914 Boston Avenue in Nederland and is opened from 8:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M., Monday through Friday .  Lunch is served at 11:30 and if you would like a nutritious lunch, please call Diane at 727-5230 so she can order a lunch for you since reservations are required.

Every morning at 9:30 we have a devotional to start the day.  Then on Monday morning we play Bingo.  The rest of the mornings we play assorted games of your choice.  Wednesday is traditional quilting day and the rest of the week, the crafty ladies are busy on different projects.  Ladies, if you are looking for something new to do, come to the center and learn a new craft, play games or just sit and visit.  The men are busy in the pool room and seem to enjoy their room.

So seniors, don’t sit home by yourself, come to the center and have a cup of coffee and a snack.  You might meet an old friend or make a new one.  Hope to see you soon.
