UPDATE: Shooting reported on DeQueen Boulevard

No injuries were reported after shots were fired at a vehicle in the 1200 block of DeQueen Boulevard on Friday.
Police received a call of shots fired with some type of disturbance taking place at about 5:39 p.m. July 17. They were flagged down by the victim who said his vehicle had been fired upon, according to a press release from the Port Arthur Police Department.
Officers were able to locate evidence in reference to the shooting and also saw damage to the vehicle.
Crime scene investigators along with detectives from PAPD’s Criminal Investigation Division were called to the scene.
The suspect remains at large at this time. Persons with information about this incident can call the PAPD Criminal Investigations Division.
It is not known if the shooting is related to Thursday’s murder of Denzel Jervon Washington who was found deceased in his car at about 6:30 a.m. July 16 near the intersection of 15th Street and Sixth Avenue.
Later that night, at about 9:45 p.m., someone shot at a home in the 3400 block of 15th Street. Officers noted the home had been fired upon near the rear of the residence but no one inside was struck or injured.
