A former firefighter at Jack Brooks Regional Airport was recently arrested and indicted on multiple counts of possession of child pornography.
Robert Earl Green, 48, of Groves was arrested Oct. 13 at 1:15 p.m. and bonded out the same day, less than four-and-a-half hours later, on bonds totaling $200,000, according to information from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
Green is no longer employed as a firefighter with the airport, according to a county official.
A Jefferson County grand jury indicted Green recently on 10 charges of possession of child pornography stemming from incidents that occurred March 23, 2022.
An indictment is not a final conviction of guilt; it is only a ruling by the grand jury that allows the district attorney’s office to proceed with a criminal case.
