3 local men nabbed after Beaumont neighborhood armed robbery

BEAUMONT — Three Port Arthur men were arrested on multiple charges after allegedly robbing people in their Beaumont yard on Wednesday.
Their bonds range from $225,000 to $213,000.
On Wednesday, at 4:28 p.m., Beaumont police officers responded to a robbery in progress at a home in the 4800 block of Steelton.
The caller reportedly told police two armed men were robbing people in the backyard of the residence, eventually forcing them inside after taking their wallets, according to information from BPD.
Responding officers found two people removing televisions from the home prior to the individuals evading arrest on foot.
One person was stopped after a short foot chase. The driver of the suspect vehicle, a silver Dodge Nitro, was detained nearby.
The third suspect was located by a K-9 officer while trying to hide underneath a shed in the 4700 block of Steelton.
Property and firearms believed used in the robbery were recovered.
Police arrested Edward Brown, 19; Jordan Jones, 19; and Kenrell Abraham, 27, all of Port Arthur.
Brown is charged with three counts of aggravated robbery with bond at $75,000 for each charge, resisting arrest with bond at $3,000 and evading arrest with bond at $3,000.
Jones is charged with three counts of aggravated robbery with bond at $75,000.
Abraham is charged with three counts of aggravated robbery with bond at $75,000 and evading arrest with bond at $3,000.
