On Monday, the Port Arthur Police Department released information about seized illegal narcotics during the 2023 calendar year.
The following stats reflect the drugs seized by police.
It includes the collaborative efforts of patrol and the narcotics unit, according to authorities.
- Marijuana/Synthetic: 38.89 pounds + 3 live plants
- Cocaine: 17.59 lbs
- Methamphetamine: 1.83 lbs
- Fentanyl: 133.41 grams
- Xanax/ Alprazolam: 139.35 grams
- PCP: 2.33 lbs
- Ecstasy: 3.48 lbs
- Psilocybin (psychedelics/ mushrooms): 191.97 grams
- Opioids (Morphine/ Codeine/Protonitazene): 121.073 grams
- Heroin: 51.2 grams
- Hydrocodone/ Oxycodone/ Dilaudid: 98.429 grams
- U-47700: 75.709 grams (Synthetic Opioid like Fentanyl- 7.5 X more potent than morphine)
