Phillip James Cole, Sr. of Port Arthur, Texas was called home Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at his residence.  Phillip was born June 13, 1945 to the late Nathaniel Cole Sr. and Susie Cole in Pineville, LA.  Phillip was a lifelong resident of Port Arthur, TX.
He is preceded in death by his parents Nathaniel Cole Sr. and Susie Cole; three brothers Bobby, Jerry, and Nathaniel Cole Jr.; two sisters Rena Cole and Lena Cole-Pleasant; one nephew Tommy Dean Cole and one niece Karen Jean Cole.
Phillip leaves behind one son Phillip James Cole Jr. (Placida); two grandkids Phillip James Cole III and Pharrah Elizabeth Cole of Port Arthur; three sisters Phyllis Elaine Cole-Hall (Twin), Sarah Cole-Reed (Harry) of Beaumont, and Hazel Cole-Tyler of Dallas; his ex-wife Laurena Cole who was his caretaker; and a host of family and friends.

Visitation will be held Thursday, October 8th 2015 from 9am – 11am at Sabbath Rest, 2113 Procter St., Port Arthur with funeral services following under the direction of Gabriel Funeral Home.
