POLICE — Fatal Houston shooting suspect killed himself in Beaumont

BEAUMONT — A man believed to be a suspect in the fatal shooting of a woman on Calhoun Street in Houston was found dead in Beaumont on Tuesday, according to Houston Police.
The man found dead in Beaumont is 32-year-old Treyvon Johnson.
The victim from Saturday’s shooting in Houston is 27-year-old Marquisha Jackson.
Houston patrol officers first responded to a shooting and found the victim lying in the street with multiple gunshot wounds.
Houston Fire Department paramedics responded and pronounced her deceased.
A preliminary investigation indicated the victim was last seen with her boyfriend, later identified as Johnson, in her blue Honda Accord, with temporary license tags.
At that time, Johnson nor the vehicle had been located.
On Tuesday, the Honda was found in a parking lot at 2550 East Freeway (East Interstate Highway 10) in Beaumont.
Beaumont Police officers responded to the scene and found Johnson deceased in the back seat of the vehicle with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
A revolver was recovered near his body.
