Cedric Dale Polk was born April 28, 1970, to the union of Roland Robert Polk Jr. and Mary Fontenot Polk in Port Arthur, TX.
Cedric was a proud member of the Lincoln High School graduating class of 1988, then he briefly attended Prairie View A&M University and remained a lifelong panther.
In 1990, he enlisted in the United States Army where he was assigned to the 25th Infantry Division based at Schofield Barracks in Hawaii.
Following service to his country, Cedric was employed by the State of Texas Criminal Justice System for over 20 years.
Cedric found joy in the simple pleasures of spending quality time with his children, cooking, fishing, passionately supporting the Dallas Cowboys, and nurturing the lifelong connections forged within his esteemed Lincoln High School class of 1988.
He is preceded in death by his son, Cedric Dale Polk II.
He is survived by his parents Roland R. Polk Jr. and Mary Fontenot Polk; his three children Reginald, Joshton, and Cedriann Polk; his sister Rolanda Polk (Humble); his niece Sydney Parker (Houston) and his nephew Marcus Parker (Japan); Leigh Polk; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday, May 24, 2024 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 924 Booker Washington, Port Arthur, TX with visitation from 9 a.m. until service time.
Burial will follow in Live Oak Cemetery.
