NEDERLAND — Jefferson County Water District No 10 Volunteer Fire Department has a new vehicle to better serve the area.
On Friday, WD10 announced on social media the delivery of a new rescue truck.
The truck replaces a 2000 model service truck and is purposely built for vehicle extraction and smaller fires, such as wild land and trash, according to a Facebook post.
The new vehicle has more storage space, quad cab seating and 4-wheel drive for off-road capability.
The truck will be placed in service once radio equipment and tools are installed.
