The Groves Pecan Festival is scheduled for Thursday through Sunday at Lion’s Park.

• Carnival Rides during the festival begin at 5 – 10 p.m. on Thursday; 5  – 11 p.m. on Friday; 10 a.m. – 11 p.m. on Saturday and 12 p.m. – 6 p.m. on Sunday, ending the festival.

• The Cooking with Pecans Contest will be held on Saturday. Judging will take place at Groves Chamber of Commerce Office, located at 4399 Main Ave., Groves. Announcement of winners will take place at Lion’s Park Pavilion at 7 p.m. on Saturday.

• The Groves Pecan Festival Pet Show will be Sunday at 1 p.m. at the Lee Rodgers Pavilion located in Lion’s Park. Pet Show registration begins at noon.

• The Horseshoe Tournament – Horseshoe Tournament, Sunday at noon at the Horseshoe Pits

• Gumbo Cook-Off – Saturday at 7 a.m. teams start cooking. Judging at 11:30 a.m. Gumbo sales start at 12 p.m. and winners announced at 2 p.m.

• Beer Garden Hours: Thursday-closed. Friday 5 to 10 p.m., Saturday 11 a.m.- 10 p.m. Sunday 12 p.m. -6 p.m.

Thursday — Faith, Praise, & Worship Night

Grace Baptist Church of Groves will feed the Carnival workers on Thursday at 11 a.m.

Thursday — Festival Begins

• Continuous rntertainment: 5 – 10 p.m. – carnival, food, and craft booths open
• 5 -7 p.m. Beau Wilson of Electrifying Sounds DJ Service will once again entertain festival goers.
• 7 – 9 p.m. Bridgepoint Worship Team with Will Akin- Young Life to finish out the Faith/Worship/Praise Event

Friday

• Continuous entertainment: 5 – 11 p.m. – Carnival, Food, and Craft Booths Open
• 5 – p.m. Brody Bailey
• 7 – 10 p.m. The Pea Patch Orchestra

Saturday

• Entertainment: 10 a.m. – 11 p.m. – Carnival, Food and Craft Booths Open
• 11 a.m. – Festival Kick-Off – The National Anthem will be sung by Beau Wilson
• 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. Fit Body Boot Camp Class at the pavilion
• 12 p.m. – 2 p.m. Tonalta School of Music.
• 2 p.m. – 3 p.m. announce Gumbo Cook-off winners and Car Show Winners
• 3 – 4 p.m. Armentor’s United Martial Arts
• 4 – 5p.m. June Badon’s School of Dance
• 5 – 6 p.m. Debbie’s Dance, ETC.
• 6 p.m. – Introduction of the 2023 Groves Pecan Pageant Queen and her Court.
• 6:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. announce the winners of the “Cooking with Pecans” contest
• 7 – 10 p.m. Catalina Wine Mixer

Sunday

• Grace Baptist Church of Groves will hold a Church Service at Lee Rogers Pavilion on Festival grounds on Sunday morning from 8 – 9 a.m.
• Continuous Entertainment: The Groves Pecan Festival Carnival opens in Lion’s Park, along with the craft and food booths from noon until 6 p.m.

• 12 -1 p.m. Pet Show Registration at Lee Rodgers Pavilion.
• 12:30-1 p.m. Folklorico Dancers

• 5 -6 p.m. Colton Horner closes out the festival
