Carlton Pierre Labbit

Carlton Pierre Labbit of Nacogdoches died Oct. 23, 2015. He was born to Granville and Carmelitte Bourque Labbit Dec. 9, 1928, in Port Arthur. He graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School.
After graduation, he was employed at Texaco Refinery. The U.S. Army drafted him for the Korean War. He was discharged in 1953 and returned to his employment with Texaco. Carlton was involved in many community action activities and relocated to Nacogdoches in 1986.
Carlton is survived by his wife, Martha George Labbit; son and daughter-in-law, Britt J. and Tammy Labbit; grandson, Nicolas J. Labbit; and granddaughter, Samantha Labbit.
Services are set for 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2015, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Nacogdoches. Interment follows at Oak Grove Cemetery.
